Conrad Lucas was born in Huntington and raised in southern West Virginia. Conrad and his family have called West Virginia home for thirteen generations. Both of Conrad's grandfathers were coal miners and small town grocers and his parents both educators. Conrad comes from a long line of small business owners, miners and educators who taught him the importance of faith, family and hard work the old fashioned way.
Conrad proudly attended public schools in West Virginia and was blessed to go to college to earn degrees in education and law.
Conrad Lucas always knew he wanted to get involved politically to make West Virginia great again as a conservative, Republican state. Lucas fought against the establishment to make West Virginia red. His leadership of the West Virginia Republican Party helped give Donald Trump his largest victory of any state in America.
Lucas never backed down from the fight and worked to drain the swamp in Charleston and Washington, D.C., as Chairman of the West Virginia Republican Party during some of its toughest battles.
Against all odds, Lucas was the youngest state Republican Chair in the nation and proved that West Virginia could vote Republican.
Lucas will use that same strength and vigor to fight for conservative values in the United States Congress.
Lucas is a past recipient of the West Virginia Governor’s Community Service Award, the Generation Huntington Award and won the Golden Horseshoe. He is married to LeFlore Barbour Lucas, and they reside in Huntington.
